In the classroom training session you will have the opportunity to use a real VHF DSC radio to practice making radio calls and with the RYA Interactive program you can practice them using the built in simulator which records and replays your attempts.
In the assessment session you will take a short written test (30 minutes) and you will have to demonstrate various types of vhf alerts and calls and convince the assessor that you have sufficient knowledge of all aspects of the syllabus.
You will be given plenty of opportunity to become familiar with the school's radios before the assessment.
